MBOA WEBSITE MAINTENANCE

On Thursday morning March 11, 2010 MBOA will be conducting maintenance our site to implement some new enhancements for membership between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.  This will cause members to not have access to the membership area by preventing them from being able to log into their membership account.  The system will be back to normal operational status by noon on March 11, 2010.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause to our members.  The new enhancements will upgrade and improve our ability to streamline the membership renewal process that occurs in the fall of each year.

NO – BURN Training Class

The previously scheduled No-Burn training seminar scheduled in February of this year has been rescheduled for March 25, 2010 at the James N. Thank you to all who participated in our web poll.  The results showed that over 60% of the responses indicated that they would in interested in attending a ICC training class and would be able to pay an approximant $50.00 class fee.  This information was very helpful and has provided our education chair valuable information.  We will be setting up a class in October of 2010 and will need a minimum of 70 participants to make the numbers work.  From the input provided we will be looking at a class topic that will be on an advanced level.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

At the 2009 ICC Annual Conference held in Baltimore, MD, two of our own members were honored by receiving Honorary Memberships with ICC.  Mr. William Bryant of Anne Arundel County and current Board member along with Mr. John Gibson with International Code Council and former Frederick County Building Official and MBOA Board member received the recognition of Honorary Member at the Annual Business Meeting on November 3, 2009. 

Congratulations to both for a well deserved honor.
